MCCA Webinar: Men of Color Student Success Program

Description

History indicates that black males have a comparatively lower college graduation rate. To combat this inequity, St. Charles Community College launched a Men of Color Student Success Program in 2021. What were the considerations in first determining to initiate this program then developing the program structure? How has it been received in the St. Louis suburb of St. Charles County? How has it been supported in this PWI? What are the next steps? 

Join us to hear from St. Charles Community College Chief Diversity Officer Martha Kampen and Multicultural Student Engagement Manager Chris Cross to learn what it takes to build a successful DEI program in support of a demographic group who have faced historical inequities and educational challenges.
